What Is SG?

Suitability Gauge is a customizable tool that enables an individual to make clearer decisions in choosing the most suitable organization to work within. It puts the discovery process in the hands of the Job Seeker. Populating the SG™ with baseline information of critical factors is based on FIBS™.

What Is FIBS?

FIBS was originally created as a Career Management Tool, an acronym standing for
Factors Impacting Basic Satisfaction,
by GH Smith & Associates LTD in 1984. This instrument was focused on collapsing the little white lies or “fibs” typically used to justify career-related decisions. These fibs caused distortion with career-focused decision making.

How Does It Work?

SG chooses key factors that are uniquely important to a prospective job seeker. At least one question per key factor is then developed to interview potential employers with. The responses from each interview are rated using the SG.  The respective ratings generate a fit assessment gauging a level of suitability of each employer under consideration. These assessments can be compared to facilitate clearer organizational choice decision making.

How It Has Evolved?

SG™ now helps the Job Seeker embrace their own unique self truths more upfront and implicitly when choosing the factors personally valued. These factors are then embedded into the SG™ to gauge the degree of suitability or fit in choosing the right organization.
